Superfoods for Ovarian Cancer

Ovarian cancer is a serious health condition that affects thousands of women every year. There are some things that a woman can do to prevent her chances of developing ovarian cancer. A woman can eat some foods that prevent ovarian cancer and increase their intake of omega-3 rich foods so they can stay healthy. If a woman already has ovarian cancer there is some nutrition for ovarian cancer patients to help reduce the spread and the symptoms of this disease:

1. Broccoli
This vegetable is packed with vitamins and minerals. It contains some important nutrients such as protein, iron, and calcium to help the body fight back against ovarian cancer. Broccoli also contains phytochemicals and antioxidants and is considered one of the best foods when fighting back against cancer.

2. Eggs
Eggs are high in Vitamin D and this is one of the most important vitamins when it comes to preventing ovarian cancer. If a woman is deficient in vitamin D it will increase her risk of developing ovarian cancer.

3. Tea
Tea is any form including green and black teas can reduce the risk of developing ovarian cancer by as much as 50 percent. Tea will help prevent the cells from duplicating if a woman has ovarian cancer. Tea also contains antioxidants to help support the body and the immune system. It is recommended that a woman drink at least two cups of tea a day to help reduce the risk of ovarian cancer.

4. Spinach
Spinach is one of the best foods at preventing cancer including ovarian cancer. Spinach is high in zinc, magnesium, and potassium. This will help increase the body’s natural resistance to cancer.

5. Cucumber
Cucumbers also help rid the body of toxins. Cucumbers also contain pantothenic acid to help fight back against cancer. Cucumbers are also high in vitamins and potassium to help keep the body healthy.

6. Carrots
Carrots contain several vitamins to help make the body healthy. Carrots are also high in fiber. Fiber is used to help reduce the spread of cancer and will help support the immune system in the fight back against cancer.

These are some of the best foods for fighting back against ovarian cancer. These foods are high in nutrients which are important for keeping the body healthy. Eating these foods can help a woman reduce her chances of developing ovarian cancer and can support a woman with ovarian cancer on her way to recovery.
