Rheumatoid Arthritis Superfoods

If a person is suffering from rheumatoid arthritis their days are filled with pain. RA symptoms are nothing to joke around about and can be debilitating, resulting in stiff, hot, red, inflamed joints and mobility issues. There are some superfoods for rheumatoid arthritis that can reduce the pain and the other systems that a person is feeling. By eating these foods and following an anti-inflammatory diet a person can see a drastic reduction in pain:

1. Olive oil
When a person uses olive oil in their cooking they can get the anti-inflammatory properties and will notice a reduction in both inflammation and pain. Olive oil will help reduce symptoms and will also help the condition from spreading to other joints.

2. Apples
Apples contain boron and magnesium which are good for the health of the bones. Apples are high in antioxidants which can help fight off free radicals in the body that cause inflammation. The apple skin has up to 8 times more antioxidants than the pulp of the apple so it is recommended to eat the skin.

3. Turmeric
This spice is said to help many different health ailments including rheumatoid arthritis. This spice contains curcuminoids that have been shown to help decrease swelling.

4. Ginger
Ginger can be used to treat many health conditions including rheumatoid arthritis. Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and can decrease the production of nitric oxides which can lead to pain and stiffness.

5. Onions
Onions are high in a bioflavonoid called Quercetin. This has anti-inflammatory properties and can also help free radicals that will lead to inflammation of the joints. Onions can also reduce enzymes that will lead to the swelling of the joints.

6. Berries
Berries can help to reduce pain and inflammation in the body. Blueberries are rich in anthocyanins which can help fight back against free radicals and offer additional protection to the bones and the connective tissues in the joints. Cranberries are high in antioxidants which have anti-inflammation properties. Strawberries can also help reduce inflammation.

7. Pineapple
Pineapple is another food that can be used to reduce inflammation. As a bonus, it has a sweet and fresh taste. Pineapple also has an enzyme known as Bromelain which can help fight back against the pain that arthritis causes. Pineapple can also help reduce the pain a person is feeling and will allow them to have increased mobility.

These are some superfoods that can help the body fight back against the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis. These superfoods can help to reduce inflammation and pain due to this arthritis and allow a person to improve their quality of life.
