Natural Face Masks from your Fridge

Your face is the canvas you show to the world. So naturally, the skin on your face is so important. Facials can notably slow down aging and give your face a deep clean. Spa facials seem like a great way to take care of your face. However, you have to consider the harsh chemicals that are being used to clean your pores. Facials can also be expensive and time consuming.

There is a more natural way to get a facial that doesn’t require you to worry about the ingredients or the cost. Make your own facials at home with ingredients you can find in your refrigerator:

1. Avocado face mask
Avocado face masks are so easy because you probably already have these ingredients at home. Hydrate and exfoliate your skin with this easy face mask. What you need:

  • 1 tsp. Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tbsp. Honey
  • 1 tsp. Lemon Juice
  • ½ Ripe Avocado
  • 1 Tbsp. rolled oats (coarsely chopped)
  • 1-2 drops of essential oil (choose a scent that relaxes you)

How to use:

First, mash the avocado until it is completely smooth. Next, finely chop the oats in a food processor. Stir the oats into the avocado. Add in the lemon juice, honey, coconut oil and essential oil. Mix thoroughly. Apply 2 tablespoons of the face mask to your face and allow it to soak in for 20 minutes. Then, wash your face with warm water.

2. Banana and honey face mask
Banana and honey face masks are simple to make. Indulge with this mask. You will delight in how young and clean your skin looks. What you need:

  • 1 Ripe Banana
  • 1 tsp. Lemon Juice
  • 1 Tbsp. Honey

How to use:

Mash the banana completely with a fork. Next, add the lemon juice and honey. Stir the mixture until it is well combined. Spread the mask onto your face. Allow the mixture to stay on your face for 15-20 minutes. Remove the mixture with warm water.

3. Greek yogurt and turmeric face mask
Turmeric masks are a great way to get rid of acne. Turmeric also has antioxidants that work as an anti-inflammatory agent. Even your skin tones with this face mask. What you need:

  • 3 Tbsp. Plain Greek Yogurt
  • 1 tsp. Turmeric
  • ¼ tsp. Honey
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour

How to use:

This is one of the best homemade face masks to clarify your face. Mix all the ingredients into a paste. Smooth the paste over your skin and allow it to dry for 15-20 minutes. Rinse your face with warm water to remove the paste.

4. Coconut exfoliating mask
Coconut oil face masks are known for their hydration properties. Use this face mask to brighten your face. What you need:

  • 1 Tbsp. Coconut Oil
  • 2 Tbsp. Raw Sugar

How to use:

Use a spoon to combine the coconut oil and raw sugar. Apply the mixture to your face. Allow the oil to soak into your skin for 5 minutes. Then, rub your face with a circular motion to exfoliate your skin. Your face will feel refreshed with this face mask. The raw sugar will exfoliate your skin while the coconut oil will provide hydration.
